My name is Tersoo Agber from Benue State, Nigeria. I am a graduate of sociology and I understand the importance of a peaceful electoral process. In Nigeria each time elections are at our doorstep, there is fear of pre or post electoral violence making many people embark on trips to places they feel safe. In the 2015 general elections, the world thought Nigeria will enter into a state of emergency because of tensions but it was averted. Another election is here and I am calling on all candidates running for office, well meaning Nigerians, the international community and civil societies to join our campaign against electoral violence called "Not Worth Our Blood". We are using this medium to appeal to all political candidates that they openly renounce electoral violence and affirm that they will adhere to the rule of law regardless of the outcome of these 2019 elections. This campaign is aimed at reminding Nigerians of the consequences of electoral violence, the overall voting process, graceful acceptance of election result and educating the unaware on the legal processes for fighting injustice. Paraphrasing a former Nigerian president's statement - No Nigerian's blood is worth being spilled to fulfil anyone's political ambition. Join us by posting any message promoting peaceful elections in Nigeria in 2019
