About
Each year in April to celebrate the Week of the Young Child, Smart Start of Mecklenburg County hosts our annual Teddy Bear Breakfast, an exciting family-focused event. Families receive a healthy breakfast, enjoy entertainment, a performance by the Charlotte School of Ballet, a storyteller, a craft zone, a silent auction and raffle, and a Teddy Bear Corner where each child receives a dressed bear. We take advantage of this opportunity to educate families about resources available throughout the community.
