NERVEmber was created to raise awareness of Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy (RSD) and Diabetes and other Neuropathy Conditions in an effort to increase access to care, patient and caregiver education, proper treatment option availability, and support from the public and health providers for chronically ill patients with these conditions. Help paint the world ORANGE every November for NERVEmber!
NERVEmber is officially Neuropathy Awareness Month and RSD Awareness Month (November). The word NERVEmber was created by Barby Ingle in 2009. These awareness activities all started as back in 2007 by the Power of Pain Foundation, a 501(c)(3) charity. As the Neuropathy community and nerve pain awareness movement grew, the awareness activities increased and grew into Nerve Pain Awareness Month or now commonly referred to in the pain community - NERVEmber.
During the month, many people throughout the country and the world come together for the Neuropathy Pain community. Events are held. Articles are written. Facebook statuses are updated. Videos are created and spread online. Proclamations are issued.
